Shower toilet so called '' Washlet'' in my room, something was wrong. So I told superintendent about it. Sweet! He said that he would get me a new one! Speaking of Washlet, When I visited  Santa Monica last year, I asked someone who took good care of me what they think about Japanese Washlets. I just remembered that she used two words to answer  ''Interesting'' but ''Unusual''. So that's the impression Japanese Washlets leave to foreigners. I think it will still take time to permeate overseas market.

  1. LOL! I did *not* like Washlet toilets in Japan. I would rather use the old style toilet (hole in the ground) than a Washlet!

    2. Yes! I wish we had squat toilets in America--especially for public toilets.

  2. I just googled "washlet" lol! I don't know about the US or other "western" countries, but there are still people who use the bidet here, so I think that it would do well. It's not that unusual of a notion.

    1. More than half of us use the washlets nowadays. It could be one of the biggest Japanese culture now haha

  3. This looks like a space age toilet from Star Trek. My hotel room in Montreal had one of these but not so fancy with electronic buttons. Everyone I was with acted afraid to use it. I was the only one to say I wish we had bidets in US and I have thought deeply about this before..too much. HA
