Correspondという英単語がちょっと気になっただけ

今日のブログはCorrespondという英単語の使い方が気になってるだけの記事。

I was just wondering if I'm using the word ''correspond'' properly. Can you correct me or maybe give me some suggestions for another example?

''I'm trying to correspond this chair to the chair in the photo.''

Is this understandable?

  1. It's a matter of context, what you are talking about. Correspond sound odd in that sentence, but it makes sense definitively. form the sentence differently and it sounds better: "I'm trying to get this chair to correspond with the chair in the photo". If you are talking about chairs, I would say "match" as in: "I'm trying to match this chair with the chair in the photo". You can Google "correspond synonyms" and look at a thesaurus for other things you can say instead. Is this confusing enough? Lol have a good day

  2. It sounds a bit strange. I would just use a simpler word, like 'match'. But it depends if your situation is formal or informal.
